Adoption story: Kevin + Jacqueline


I loved every minute of working with Kevin and Jacqueline on their adoption journey to become a family of three!  They signed on with me in early December of 2016, and immediately started working on their home study and we started designing their beautiful family profile book.  

By February of 2017, they were home study ready, and able to start presenting to situations!  They bravely presented to many situations, and even said "yes" on a private family situation that ended up being a closed door.  They persevered through that disappointment until one day an agency called me with the wonderful news that a brave expectant couple had selected Jacqueline and Kevin!  The expectant couple was going through an incredibly difficult trauma and really connected to the empathy and compassion shown in Jacqueline and Kevin's letter.

Here's a bit of Jacqueline's testimony about how they came to adoption, and some special moments along the 10 month journey to their daughter:

"We went to the fertility specialist for the first time in late November of 2016, and received terrible news that we would not be able to conceive on our own. That afternoon we knew God was leading us towards adoption, and not fertility treatment. We signed on with CAC a few days later and powered through our Home Study. 

We matched with "Mama S" on 6/7/17 and were overjoyed.  We were able to travel to her city and meet her on 7/17/17, and although it was a pleasant visit, it was difficult for all of us emotionally.  

We were glad that we had the opportunity to meet "S," because the baby was born just 4 weeks early, on 9.28.17!  








Although our baby's birth was early, we made it to Arizona just a day later and met our daughter and fell madly in love with her.








Looking back, one moment gets me every time:  the night before Tessa was born, I somehow couldn’t fall asleep at all.  At midnight I was STILL awake, and for some reason, decided to make a long list of every item we needed to take to the hospital with us!  So when we got the call the next morning, I was able to pack in under an hour!  God knew!  And He was preparing me.


Another special memory that Mama S and I both wanted to give our daughter the middle name "Marie."  What a special story for me to tell Tess one day.

adoption story - erin + clayton

adoption story: meredith and chase

I had the pleasure of serving Chase and Meredith on their journey to parenthood. They became a family of four in a wonderful way! They signed on with me in November of 2018, and their sweet twins were born in early April of 2019.
